Bristol Zoo marks its 175 anniversary with Gorillas!
Submitted by Jo on 07/07/2011
Wow Gorillas - a mass public art event has been brought to the streets of Bristol to celebrate Bristol Zoo's 175 anniversary,
Artists have decorated lifesized gorillas that have been sponsored by local artists. There are 60 of them dotted around Bristol, though a good majority of them are found more in central Bristol.
And of course one of these gorillas can be found on Gloucester Road! It is number 51 on the trail and the gorilla's name is Irene. Its sponsor is Jelf Lampier and the artist is Emily Trotter.
I now recommend that you get out there and start your hunt for the gorillas!
